Job Summary The Assistant Director for Digital Marketing on the UT Dallas Alumni team, under the direction of the Director of UT Dallas Alumni,will support the team and alumni community by leading all UT Dallas Alumni digital marketing and engagement efforts. This position will be responsible for overseeing all UT Dallas Alumni social media accounts; researching, planning, and implementing dynamic and targeted content that educates, informs, and engages alumni and other constituents with purpose to increase social followers across all accounts. This candidate should be well-versed in software skills including but not limited to videography, web development, and design. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and collaborative team member who values innovation and is skilled at building strong internal and external relationships.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree; 3-5 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, master's degree preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads comprehensive digital marketing campaigns for UT Dallas Alumni, connecting UTD with the at large alumni community, including but not limited to videos, podcasts and animations. Serves as primary account manager for all UT Dallas Alumni social media efforts across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Threads). Develops, plans, and proactively creates monthly and annual social media content calendars for all channels in coordination with alumni news and stories, UT Dallas Alumni team initiatives, development and alumni relations priorities, campus partners, and university happenings. Identifies and proposes social media strategy and campaigns to manager based on content, opportunities, and current trends with intention to grow social media presence across all channels. Engages and serves as primary customer service of all UT Dallas Alumni account followers. Writes copy, provides photos, editing, and proofreading for all social channels and website. Assists in UT Dallas Alumni email and website design, building, testing, and approval processes. Oversees and maintains UT Dallas Alumni website content. Research opportunities to have larger and more frequent social presence with campus partners and campus happenings. The intention should be to show connection between UT Dallas and alumni population. Stays informed about current and emerging digital trends and best practices. Partners and coordinates with DevComms team, and is an active member of the UTD Social Media Managers group, under the direction of UT Dallas Communications Office. Position requires working some nights and weekends at UT Dallas events or programming. Perform other duties as assigned.

Remote Work Notice: Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
