POSITION:
Senior Designer, Women's Sportswear
Responsibilities: Support the Creative Director with the design process from initial inspiration to final production Manage an assistant and delegate workflow Communicate daily with sales and production to ensure design sheets are being completed properly and in a timely manner Create and execute on the vision of the Creative Director, ensuring that the product is consistent with market trends, while defining the brand identity and overall business strategy Developing Design sheets in Exenta (PLM System) Experience working in Procreate would be great but not required Updating reorder bodies with new ideas while incorporating upcoming trends Sourcing trims, prints and novelty fabrics with venders/In the market Choosing matching linings Setting up new silhouettes in prints and new fabrications in our in house sewing room to get cut and sewn Supporting the head designer in creating and organizing a cohesive line Creating inspiration boards Requirements
Minimum 6 years
of fashion design experience Knowledge of garment construction and patterns Strong flat sketching abilities; either via Procreate or Illustrator Proficient with Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication Self-starter and proactive worker Enthusiastic and team-oriented Must have a sense of urgency Knowledge of Exenta is not required but is definitely a plus Basic knowledge of Pattern construction would be great, but not required Must be fluent in Photoshop and Illustrator Experience working in Procreate would be great, but not required Must be able to sketch (Flats/Floats) in Procreate or Illustrator Learns quickly and eager to learn all parts of the industry Must have an eye for Merchandising, Assorting Fabrics/Garments accordingly Must be comfortable with long hours, if needed Portfolio preferred! The salary range for this full-time position ranges from $100,000-$130,000, depending on applicant's level of experience.
