ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are hiring an Associate Creative Director, Design (ACD) with a knack for crafting visual narratives. Our ideal ACD thinks big, is a leader, and truly believes in collaborating across disciplines. This role requires a honed ability to manage and mentor, while pushing to elevate strategic and creative assets. It also offers the unique opportunity to concept, execute, and present to key client stakeholders.
Day to day, the ACD will work with the Creative Director to oversee art direction and design across digital, video, and print campaigns. The ACD is responsible for leading teams of Art Directors, Designers, and Copywriters to develop innovative and elegant digital advertising and marketing materials for a respected global brand in the news media sector. The ACD will also be a key collaborator in growing and stewarding the brand in close partnership with clients and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with Strategy, Account, and Project Management teams to interpret and guide client directives towards effective creative products Elevate the level of creative and design execution Brand governance and reviewer of work; QA/QC all work against feedback. Ensure that creative and design considerations are addressed before they are sent for review with the client. Run creative brainstorms and creative client-working sessions Hands on designer who will execute projects from beginning to end Apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies Present to client stakeholders and agency management Provide regular support and mentorship to creative team to ensure flawless delivery of the creative product on an ongoing basis
QUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years of progressive creative and management experience in an agency, design firm, or related marketing environment 2+ years of people management experience where you've developed mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills. You've helped bring the best out of your fellow designers and produce positive creative outcomes Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels of both internal and client organizations Proven ability to craft narratives, provide clear creative direction for art and copy and provide timely and meaningful feedback Flexible, communicative, professional with a great eye and strong attention to detail Strong typography skills; expertise in Figma, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and proficient in a motion and/or video tools Ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements Strive to improve creative processes and deliver assets on agreed upon timelines Experience guiding creative teams and vision
LOCATION: New York (Midtown) REPORTS TO: Creative Director, Design THIS ROLE IS ONSITE: 4x per week in office, 1 day remote

US Pay Range
$145,000-$155,000 USD
