The RTW Associate Designer redefines luxury RTW with a focus on exquisite fabrics, impeccable fit, and elevated sensuality. From concept to final construction, our pieces reflect a balance of technical craftsmanship and seductive sophistication - each one meant to feel as good as it looks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior RTW Designer in creating four seasonal collections, as well as custom requests, across multiple categories including wovens, knitwear, and denim
• Stay on top of factory communications and all pending overseas developments
• Track shipments, invoices, POs, and other clerical tasks
• Assist the Senior RTW Designer with fabric and trim sourcing as needed
• Create CADs, tech packs, and BOMs
• Schedule and participate in development fittings alongside the RTW Product Developer and Senior RTW Designer; help take notes and update tech packs before and after fittings
• Keep digital sample tracker and design boards up to date; ensure seasonal binders are organized
• Work closely with midtown factories for sample and/or pattern development, providing tech packs and all necessary trims and fabrics for garment construction, including patterns with cut tickets
• Design and recolor prints
• Hire and delegate intern tasks
• Work with the RTW Product Developer and Senior RTW Designer in approving development lab dips and strike offs
• Collaborate with the production team and RTW Product Developer to pass off styles at the end of the season
• Ensure the sample room and sample closet are organized and stocked

Qualifications

• Must have 3 or more years of experience in RTW design
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
• Must be familiar with the garment district
• Ability to hand sew
• Strong ability to sketch — by hand and digitally
• Some pattern making knowledge is required
• Must know the basics of how to spec a garment
• Must be strong at research
• Must know how to dye fabrics and trims
• Must be extremely organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Salary | $70k
• NYC Based x 5 Days In Office A Week
• Reporting To | Senior RTW Designer
