Essential Responsibilities
The Director of Communications will assign duties to the Communications Associate including, but not limited to, the following:
Creating, editing, and sending mass electronic communications to the school community for all school departments (i.e., grade-level announcements, division communications, etc.) Writing and editing a variety of content, including website copy, blog posts, press releases, donor reports, strategic messaging, and social media posts Assisting the development of digital marketing strategies Contributing to the development of donor stewardship materials Developing and maintaining a regular cadence of communication for key administrators Collaborating with Enrollment Management Office to produce strategic messaging for admission-related purposes Updating and maintaining the school website, including oversight of structure, content, and appropriate analytics Writing articles for the annual magazine Aligning social media content with overall messaging strategies Maintaining the school's internal website (parent portal) by developing and editing relevant content Supporting crisis communication planning and response as needed Other projects as assigned Position Requirements
A bachelor's degree, with coursework in marketing, communications, English, education, or other related field helpful One to two years of related work experience Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail Strong ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging, and mission-driven content Exceptional copyediting skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) applications An ideal candidate will have:
