Associate Director, Media Analytics (Data Scientist)
at Monks will oversee data strategy, measurement frameworks, and performance analysis to drive actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders. This role requires leadership in developing and implementing scalable analytics solutions, guiding teams in applying advanced data techniques, and ensuring seamless integration of analytics into broader marketing, creative, and business strategies. As a thought leader, the Associate Director will foster innovation in analytics practices while maintaining alignment with client goals. Key Responsibilities Data Management & Insights: Oversee data collection, processing, and visualization to ensure accuracy and relevance. Conduct advanced analytics, including attribution modeling, predictive analysis, and ROI measurement. Translate data findings into actionable insights to optimize marketing and creative efforts. Client Engagement: Act as a key client-facing expert, presenting insights, reports, and strategic recommendations. Manage client relationships, ensuring analytics solutions exceed expectations and drive measurable impact. Develop and implement comprehensive analytics frameworks aligned with client business objectives. Drive the evolution of data-driven decision-making across digital marketing campaigns and platforms. Collaborate with senior leadership to set measurable KPIs and define success metrics. Technology & Innovation: Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and technologies in analytics and martech. Champion the adoption of innovative solutions to enhance analytics capabilities. Qualifications Proven experience (7+ years) in data science, analytics, data strategy, or a related field, preferably in an agency or consultancy environment. Proficiency in machine learning, statistical modeling, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R. Strong expertise in digital marketing analytics, web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and advanced tools like Tableau or Power BI. Proven success in managing complex, multi-faceted analytics projects. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a talent for simplifying complex data narratives for diverse audiences. Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Preferred Skills Proficiency in media planning, measurement frameworks, and optimization techniques. Advanced programming skills in Python and R. Familiarity in cloud-based services such as AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, and similar platforms. Experience with experimentation frameworks, such as geo testing, A/B testing, and various measurement methodologies. Proven experience in client-facing roles, either internal or external.
