Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Eveningwear Designer with deep expertise in formalwear and/or bridal to lead the creation and evolution of high-impact evening collections. This role is ideal for a seasoned designer with a strong market sense, commercial acumen, and the creative vision to drive category growth through elevated, trend-forward design. You will play a critical role in shaping collection strategy, identifying new product opportunities, and ensuring our eveningwear assortment excites our customers and meets the brand’s commercial goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead the design and development of seasonal eveningwear collections, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market demands.
• Evaluate and provide actionable feedback on existing collections, identifying areas of opportunity and ensuring product consistency and excellence.
• Identify assortment gaps and product voids, and develop new styles that address evolving customer preferences and market trends.
• Submit original designs and make design corrections to optimize sales performance and capitalize on merchandising opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with overseas and U.S.-based design teams to enhance selected categories and drive innovation across key product lines.
• Regularly analyze competitor offerings and influencer-led trends to inform product direction and strategic growth.
• Update assortment strategies as needed based on performance metrics, market shifts, and customer feedback.
• Contribute meaningfully to the overall design direction, acting as a mentor and creative lead within the design team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in formalwear, bridal, or special occasion design roles.
• Proven success in designing commercially viable and trend-relevant eveningwear collections.
• Deep knowledge of eveningwear and special occasion markets, including key customer segments and industry trends.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Experience working with international vendors and cross-functional teams is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision.
