The ideal candidate will have strong shooting and editing skills with a wide range of experience in different types of photography projects and styles. Experience in architecture and interiors is not required, as we provide extensive training. We are looking for someone who is a sharp learner, dedicated teammate, and will be a core member of a small but mighty team. As a Contract Associate Photographer, you will work closely with Rae and the team to ensure that our clients receive outstanding service and results that align with our brand's high standards.This is a year-round position and is not meant to fill in seasonal gaps in other photography roles. Our team is designed to grow new members over time, elevating their skills and growing their career within the company.Responsibilities:Photograph real estate properties, including luxury and architectural projects, ensuring exceptional and visually appealing results.Conduct lifestyle shoots that align with the brand's vision and client needs.Edit and retouch photos to maintain the quality and style representative of our work.Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and ensure their satisfaction.Maintain and organize photography equipment and props.Manage and archive digital files.Provide exceptional customer service throughout the photography process, including problem-solving in the moment based on the individual circumstances of each shoot and client.Assist in marketing and promotional activities, including social media content creation.Qualifications:Proven experience as a photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. A minimum of 5 years experience in photography as your primary job is required.Strong proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture 1).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, meeting ongoing rigorous editing deadlines.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.A passion for photography and a desire to grow within the industry.You must have a working reliable vehicle. Ride shares, etc. won’t suffice.Preferred:Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.Familiarity with current photography trends and techniques.A flexible weekday calendar between 8am-7pm, when most shoots are scheduled.Gear list:We require candidates to have all (or almost all) of the gear listed below, or to be prepared to purchase it as a part of working with us.Computer:
a very strong/capable Macbook with ample storage and processing power is required (32gb+ of memory required, recommended 1tb+ of storage). You may need to edit and process on the go, so a laptop is important.Body:
1-2 full-frame camera bodies. Our whole team currently uses Canon, which is preferred but not required.Lenses:16-35mm F2.8 L-Series lens required.Long telephoto zoom lens required. 70-200mm recommended.Low aperture prime lens required. We recommend 50mm, but 35mm is also good.Recommended lenses: 24-70mm.Tripod:Tall tripod with a 3-way pan tilt ball head or geared head required.Hours and Compensation:This is a 1099 position. The position will be 30-40 hours per week on average, once ramped. The first month will be training directly with Rae, with the training month paid at $2500–3000 depending on experience.After that, shoot commission will be 50%, with an average shoot price of $450.
