We are looking for a Freelance Assistant Designer - Intimates-bras, panties and sleepwear for a top fashion company in New York, New York. Responsibilities: Individual contributor position responsible for assisting in the creation of product designs. Support the coordination of designs; encompassing style, color / print, fit and fabric, or materials for assigned new/existing product lines. May own a low volume category. Relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in fashion design or equivalent experience. Proactive, creative, strong design eye. Ability to work independently. Strong Illustrator CAD skills (technical CADs, creating brushes or patterns / textures, coloring CADs). Basic knowledge of garment construction, with emphasis on lingerie and womens RTR (constructed, couture garments).
