Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- Experience in the Fashion Industry- Intimates/Lingerie and casual wear
- MUST HAVE Women's Lingerie experience!!
Qualifications:
- Entry level with some design experience in a comparable retail environment
- Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiency; Centric a plus
- Exceptional talent with a commercial fashion eye and detail in product styling/performance

In this role, our client is seeking an Assistant Designer who will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and delivering brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy, encompassing style, color/print, fit and fabric for new/existing product lines.
- Applying a solid working knowledge of fashion trends and consumer needs to product designs.
- Demonstrating a passion for the brand, inspires individuals and relies on limited experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Taking direction under immediate supervision, exercising a minimal degree of scope/decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the design team in the creation of brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction/business strategy
- Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide clear specifications for construction
- Build and maintain the sample room
- Create flat sketches and CAD images
- Prepare design team for routine and milestone meetings, including the coordination of line presentation boards/tableaus and selection of product samples
- Communicate ongoing development details to internal partners (i.e. Production, Tech, Merchants) and vendors, ensuring all communication is flowing to the correct people
- Partner with technical design on fit and execution of prototypes, assisting with scheduled fittings and necessary follow-up
- Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties
- Attend routine team meetings and key partner alignment sessions
- Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization
- Apply processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer in order to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs
- Utilize resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally, and stay up to date on competitor research/trend analysis
- Communicate point of view clearly through mood boards and concept tears
- Achieve set goals with acute attention-to-detail, tracking progress & anticipating potential issues
- Pursue/embrace opportunities to personally grow and develop skills/competencies
- Develop and understand the eye/brand identity and specific category
- Build and maintain effective relations with key partners
- Seek to improve process to deliver efficiently with speed/agility
