Bobit Business Media Inc. ("BBM") is seeking a talented Marketing Director to manage all aspects of BBM’s marketing campaigns and operations. This role will create and execute innovative marketing strategies to grow our brands and profitably increase revenue. Candidates must possess refined communication and leadership skills, proven success in innovative multi-channel marketing campaigns, and have exhibited growth-focused leadership in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and programs. An ideal candidate is an accomplished director in the B2B space who is skilled at collaborating with various teams in a positive and solution-seeking manner.
The successful candidate will be able to present their vision of how B2B publishing should evolve to cater to multiple generations of content consumption and event participation from Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers.
Technical skills must include ability to demonstrate query writing capabilities, understanding of website building tools, and lead people in the value of joining data from multiple sources.
BBM is a B2B Media Publisher of over 20 print,digital magazines and events. We operate with 5 distinct B2B industry publishing groups, producing original written content in both print magazine and digital mobile editions, branded websites, eNewsletters, original video creations, events and awards experiences.
Headquartered in Torrance, CA, BBM employees work remotely from home. BBM is open to employing new associates in (only) the following states/areas: AL, AZ, CA (except San Francisco), CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, MN, NC, NV, OH, OR, TN, WI
Pay Range:
- Pay is salary (if annualized) ranging from $90k to $110k
- The pay range is one that BBM reasonably expects to pay for this position; posted pay info does not guarantee, obligate, nor set expectations of an applicant’s wage in the event of hire
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute high-ROI, measurable marketing campaigns across brands, products, events, websites, and new initiatives to drive revenue and brand growth
- Shape brand-forward strategies that align media assets with content consumption trends across platforms like Apple News, Google News, Reddit, Quora, and YouTube
- Help BBM leadership evolve how BBM caters to multiple generations of content consumption and event participation from Generation Z to Baby Boomers
- Oversee budgets aimed at expanding content subscribers, event attendees, and marketing/sales lead generation
- Create targeted channel, segment, and market strategies to optimize marketing effectiveness
- Establish and maintain a best-in-class social, digital, and web presence to enhance customer awareness, engagement, and spend
- Manage external communications to elevate corporate perception, including press releases, website updates, and trade publication articles
- Direct the creation of sales and promotional materials, including media kits, issue promotions, presentations, and branding assets
- Set timelines, schedules, and workflows to ensure successful campaign execution
- Utilize corporate project management systems to track, budget, and evaluate marketing initiatives
- Manage promotional budgets, including production and freelance resources when called for, with agility to adjust as needed
- Partner with internal teams to ensure marketing initiatives are executed with high quality and exceed customer expectations
- Travel to seminars, industry events, and trade shows as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field (Master’s preferred) – or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 6–10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience; B2B media experience a plus
- Proven ability to demonstrate strategic and creative vision to implement effective marketing communication/campaign programs across email, direct mail, digital, social media, and events
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and BPA/ABC compliance for data privacy and audit integrity
- Strategic go-to-market planning and execution skills
- Expertise in copywriting for marketing promotions
- Deep understanding of digital platforms, technologies, and consumer behavior
- Expertise in paid advertising (Facebook, Google, etc.)
- Expertise in social media strategy and influencer marketing
- Ability to interpret and leverage data and analytics to strategize creative marketing concepts, improve results, and increase ROI
- Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console
- Familiarity with Bing and Google Postmaster tools
- Understanding of UTM parameter strategy and tracking implementation
- Familiarity with Meta and LinkedIn Pixels
- Audience & circulation management knowledge with focus on first-party data and sender reputation a plus
- Experience with Canva and Figma
- Basic HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- High-level understanding of SQL, APIs, and Webhooks
- Marketing automation and CRM tools (Omeda, Salesforce, HubSpot) knowledge
- Jira/Confluence project management skills desirable
