Job Title: Cardiovascular CATH LAB RN
Location: Anchorage, AK
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00-19:00
Description:
We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse to join our team at HCA Healthcare's Alaska Regional Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular department, you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in catheterization, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantations processes.
- Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantations by keeping them calm and relaxed during the procedure.
- Administer appropriate medicine as needed during the procedure.
- Perform proper after-procedure care, including checking vital signs.
- Provide education about medications and care to patients and families before discharge.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
- Two to three years of Cath Lab experience, or five years of experience in high-acuity settings (e.g., ICU).
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) certification.
Work Environment:
- 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per day.
