We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our team and help design innovative, style-driven women’s moderate dresses.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with merchandising, technical design, and print development teams to bring fresh, trend-right ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process, working with a team to develop compelling women’s dress collections.
- Research emerging trends and collaborate with leadership to transform insights into impactful design concepts.
- Create sketches and samples (both in New York and overseas), with a focus on sellable, trend-forward styles.
- Partner with support teams on fabric selection, sample development, and execution.
- Develop comprehensive technical packages with specifications and construction details for both cut-and-sew and full fashion knits.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in apparel design, specializing in women’s dresses.
- Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Expertise in garment construction, and technical design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Over 45 years in the dress business. Privately owned with solid financial stability.
Salary range: $75,000 - $125,000+ (commensurate with experience)
