a User Experience (UX) Designer.

: As a User Experience Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on our High-Performance Computing (HPC) Project. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and analyzing user needs and addressing those needs thorough thoughtful user experience design. You will collaborate with customers to design and mock-up dashboards for next-generation HPC capabilities. Your main focus will be designing solutions that enhance end-users' daily workflow and improve operational efficiency. You will also work closely with product managers and development teams to implement proposed design solutions. UX Designer Responsibilities Interview users to understand their role in the system, what they need to be able to accomplish, and what challenges might prevent them from doing so; Applying interview insights to define user workflows within the system and design thoughtful interactions for users to step through those workflows; Creating low-fidelity and mid-fidelity mockups to storyboard the user's experience and define the interaction process; Iterating on the decision through user testing; Answering questions for the development team as they arise; Reworking the design as necessary due to technological constraints; Working with the UI designer to ensure the UX is accomplish through the design of the UI; and Designing the information architecture of each page as required. Required Qualifications Five (5) years as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, a related technical degree, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Wireframing and prototyping User testing User research Design thinking Desired Qualifications Solid understanding of scrum and agile methodologies. Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria. Ability to work in a faced paced environment with minimal supervision. Ability to analyze requirements and create detailed test cases. Knowledge of JIRA or similar tools for tracking issues arid managing tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
