Job Summary:
The Enrollment Content Manager position supports Furman University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions through the creation, management, and deployment of communication campaigns through the Slate CRM platform. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and working closely with the Director of Enrollment Operations and Database Administrator, the Enrollment Content Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring consistent communications with prospective students, college counselors, and other key constituency groups with whom the Office of Admissions interacts on an annual basis. This will be an on-campus role with some opportunities to work from home at supervisor’s discretion.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation of admissions communication flows via the Slate CRM platform. Manage all planned and ad-hoc messaging for undergraduate admissions via Slate SMS and Deliver tools.
- This individual will partner with the admissions leadership team in the functional development of email templates and assess and refine existing communication flows for effective messaging to prospective students.
- Serve in a copy writing capacity in the support of new content creation and in editing of existing communication flows. Additionally, this individual will support the creation and maintenance of ongoing market messaging via Scoir, CollegeBoard Connections, Niche, and other external platforms through which prospective students may engage with Furman University throughout the college search process.
- Build and maintain all necessary queries and populations for communication campaigns. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for message coding logic such as liquid markup, UTM tracking, content blocks and message editing that may require HTML or CSS coding.
- Working alongside the Director of Recruitment, develop and implement methods to analyze the success of all undergraduate admissions communication campaigns and evaluate response rates, as well as the overall success/ROI of enrollment communication initiatives. Use this data to help inform the admissions senior leadership on opportunities to adapt communications for greater message effectiveness and user engagement.
- Maintain a strong understanding of how email and SMS communications complement print, digital and social media strategies in the recruitment of prospective students. May be called upon to use expertise in communication planning to support the social media channels managed by the undergraduate admissions team.
- Develop proficiency within the Slate database to assist with general Slate configurations and database management, with support from the Director of Enrollment Operations and Database Administrator.
- Remain current on higher education trends, external industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in the documentation and organization of communication flow mappings.
- Perform other duties as identified by the Enrollment Management leadership team.
- The individual in this role will work collaboratively with the Enrollment Leadership team and key campus partners to understand the admissions recruitment process, to identify appropriate mediums and messages to deliver content to prospective students throughout their college search journey.

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in marketing, higher education enrollment management, digital content creation, or copy writing required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competency in Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology applications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with an understanding that enrollment is timeline driven.
- Must be prepared to balance multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and think proactively.
- Previous query writing experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Experience adhering to brand standards.
- Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM.
- Knowledge of automated drip campaigns, content blocks, conditional logic, liquid markup.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL.
- Familiarity with project management systems.
