Position: UI/UX Designer/Production Assistant (Contract 6 months w/ potential to hire)
Location: Denver / Hybrid
Monthly Rate: $4,166 - $4,583
BLKDG is seeking a UI/UX designer that displays exceptional skill and can demonstrate high-quality work in the field of interactive UI/UX design & implementation. This position requires a passion for your area of specialization and should offer insight on improving BLKDG's digital capabilities. Candidates must have the ability to produce integrated creative efforts across a variety of digital applications. Responsibilities

1. Conceptualize and iterate designs and prototypes in partnership with a team of researchers, designers, project managers, and developers
2. Collaboratively work with developers to create innovative solutions that are achievable within specific budget, timeline, and technology constraints
3. Work closely with the Account/Project management team to clearly understand and execute on objectives, timelines, and budgets
4. Participate in design reviews with members of the UI and engineering teams
5. Value the practice of design iteration by always experimenting, evaluating, and learning
6. Apply user-centered and data-driven design strategies to projects that range from mobile applications to complex technical systems
7. Be motivated by user research and can translate data into design solutions (including flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes)
8. Provide intuitive, meaningful, and elegant interpretations of complex concepts based on client information and business requirements
9. Simultaneously accomplish a range of assignments with overlapping timelines, never sacrificing quality

Qualifications

1. 3+ years experience/highly skilled in Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Invision and/or other associated design and prototyping tools
2. Experience in a similar role
3. Solid understanding of user interface design patterns, information architecture, and user experience best practices
4. Attention to detail and possess visual design skills (including layout, grid systems, typography, iconography, and color) for digital experiences
5. Ability to generate consistently outstanding creative concepts and visual solutions
6. Fascination with people, their motivations, and desires relating to the design problem
7. A flexible approach and willingness to adapt your ideas to the needs of clients (ability to check your ego at the door!)
8. Direct client interaction experience with the ability to understand client vision/direction and present your design/concepts
9. Ability to build relationships and work with a team of diverse colleagues and client stakeholders, thriving on collaboration to push for positive outcomes
10. Deliver high-quality work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines consistently
11. Motion graphics design/production, animation, video skills
12. Working knowledge of the realities of executing designs in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
