A large and prestigious business management firm seeks a Music Audit Director to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional with music industry experience.Responsibilities:Overseeing all aspects of the audit process for record label and music publisher auditsOverseeing planning and fieldwork proceduresDesigning audit programs tailored specifically to individual client needsReviewing, summarizing and interpreting financial provisions in complex music industry agreementsPreparing databases and analyzing large datasets using Excel and/or Access/SQLAnalyzing calculations presented on royalty statements for compliance with financial terms in the relevant agreementsIdentifying potential issue areas and calculating/quantifying understated royalties as per agreement termsTraining, supervising and reviewing staff test workCommunicating effectively with auditees, clients and other third partiesPreparing written audit report complete with supporting schedules and claim calculationsConducting audit settlementsPreparing audit budgets and conducting practice developmentQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business requiredMinimum of 15 years of audit experience required with 10+ years of supervisory experience.
