The Investment Writer plays a key role in supporting global marketing and communication initiatives, strengthening and amplifying the firm’s presence in the investment marketplace.

We are currently seeking candidates for an Investment Writer to join a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Investment Writer crafts and creates compelling, insight-rich content that highlights the firm’s investment expertise, thought leadership, and strategic positioning across asset classes. The Investment Writer plays a key role in supporting global marketing and communication initiatives, strengthening and amplifying the firm’s presence in the investment marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of investment writing or financial writing experience, and will possess outstanding writing and editorial skills. The Investment Writer must have strong industry experience, including working knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and asset classes, with a deep understanding of both Fixed Income and Equity markets.
This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity paying between $45-$55/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work-model, consisting of 3 onsite days and 2 remote days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Creates high-quality and engaging content that conveys the firm’s investment expertise, product positioning, and investment insights, playing a key role in global marketing and communication initiatives.
- Transforms intricate investment concepts into accessible, engaging, and actionable content tailored to distinct audiences, while maintaining alignment with the firm’s brand voice and strategic objectives.
- Advises internal teams on editorial best practices, providing copyediting, proofreading, and content project management to uphold consistency in voice, tone, and style across the organization.
- Researches, crafts, and refines a wide range of marketing content—including market commentary, corporate and product narratives, retail investment content, white papers, brochures, and campaign assets—to support firm-wide initiatives and specific business channels.
- Enhances the firm’s digital presence by producing original content and adapting existing materials for use across web platforms and social media channels.
- Partners closely with cross-functional teams—including design, video, social media, paid media, client marketing, sales enablement, and other internal stakeholders—to ensure the seamless development and delivery of high-impact marketing assets that reflect enterprise-wide themes. Builds alignment and fosters collaboration across business lines.
- Maintains deep expertise in capital markets, macroeconomic developments, and the firm’s investment solutions across asset classes to ensure content accuracy and strategic relevance.
- Monitors industry developments, competitor strategies, and evolving investor interests to continuously enhance the relevance, differentiation and effectiveness of marketing content.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Finance, Marketing, or related field (Required).
- 6+ years of related investment writing or financial writing experience in investment management or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and asset classes, with a deep understanding of both Fixed Income and Equity markets.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to leverage creative and analytical thinking skills.
