FL Studio Instructor - BeatLab Music Production Intensive
Position Overview
San Francisco Film School seeks an exceptional FL Studio expert to lead our intensive 10-day BeatLab Music Production certificate program for high school and college-aged students. This is a premium educational opportunity for a seasoned professional combining deep technical expertise with outstanding teaching and mentorship abilities.
Course Dates: July 21 - August 1, 2025
Location: 155 Sansome Street, San Francisco, CA
Class Size: Maximum 12 students per session
Target Audience: High school and college-aged aspiring producers

Responsibilities
What You'll Teach
Guide young creators through comprehensive music production mastery covering:
- Complete FL Studio workflow proficiency - Interface mastery, pattern creation, and professional organization
- Contemporary beatmaking techniques - Hip-hop, electronic, pop, and experimental production
- Sound design and synthesis - Creating original sounds and custom patches
- Sampling and flip techniques - Creative manipulation and legal considerations
- AI-enhanced production - Integration of cutting-edge AI tools with traditional methods
- Professional mixing fundamentals - Genre-specific mixing approaches
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional music production experience with released commercial work
- Education or mentorship experience working with high school/college-aged students
- Contemporary genre expertise in hip-hop, electronic, pop, and experimental production
- Current industry knowledge of streaming platforms, distribution, and modern workflows
- Portfolio demonstrating diverse production styles and technical excellence
- San Francisco Bay Area location or willingness to work on-site for the program duration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching music production to teenagers and young adults
- Background in contemporary hip-hop, trap, electronic, or pop production
- Familiarity with AI music production tools (Udio, Suno, stem separation technology)
- Experience with youth development and creative mentorship
- Professional credits in contemporary commercial music
- Understanding of college application portfolio requirements
