Job Description:
Content Creation: Correspondence: Drafting official correspondence, letters, and emails on behalf of the agency or its representatives. Blogs and Articles: Creating blog posts or articles to share insights, success stories, or relevant information with the public. Coordination with Departments: Collaborating with different departments or units within the agency to gather information and ensure consistency in messaging.
Editing and Proofreading: Reviewing Documents: Ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines in written materials produced by the agency. Proofreading: Checking documents for grammatical errors, typos, and formatting issues before publication. Compliance: Ensuring that all written materials adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines. Style Guide Adherence: Following the agency's style guide or any established writing standards.
Responsibilities: Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document. Ensures content is of high quality and conforms to standards.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
Skills: Writing a variety of technical instruction manuals and how-to guides (Required: 8 Years) Writing design specs for complex systems (Required: 8 Years) Expertise and support of MS Office and Visio (Required: 8 Years) Prepare original papers, articles, or reports regarding DLCP’s vision, mission, and initiatives (Required: 5 Years) Create documentation, including user documentation, how-to guides, integration guides, computer systems operation guides, and system specifications (Highly Desired: 9 Years) Write and edit procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals (Required: 8 Years) Determines the type of publication that will best serve the agency (Highly Desired: 5 Years) Meets with management, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific processes and what will be communicated to the public (Highly Desired: 8 Years) Creating blog posts or articles to share insights, success stories, or relevant information with the public (Required: 6 Years) Drafting official correspondence, letters, and emails on behalf of the agency or its representatives (Required: 6 Years) Excellent with PowerPoint, Google docs, LinkedIn, Ulysses and Facebook for outreach, commission presentations & marketing (Required: 6 Years) Style Guide Adherence: Following the agency's style guide or any established writing standards (Required: 6 Years) The contractor will be required to work on-site for the first 90 days and will discuss hybrid work schedule depending on performance, working remotely a maximum of 2 business days.
