Family owned and operated for over 40 years, Bob Ruth Ford, Inc. is South Central Pennsylvania's fastest growing dealership. The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for a variety of duties in support of the Sales Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Prior experience driving and working with a variety of vehicles
- Ability to operate vehicles equipped with a manual transmission
- Ability to move quickly (Certain elements of the job are physically demanding)
- Ability to work irregular hours, which may include evenings or Saturdays if needed
- Ability to work in both indoor/outdoor temperatures
- 1 or more years of experience as a Lot Attendant, Detailer, Porter, Shuttle Driver, or related position
- A familiarity with Rapid Recon
This position works both independently and with a team to maintain our photo/inventory merchandising processes and sales lot which is clean, orderly and organized. This involves a variety of duties including:
- Taking videos/photos of newly arrived vehicles and utilizing both a desktop computer and iPad to monitor successful uploading.
- Use Photo System to precisely image vehicles.
- Follow merchandising processes accurately and efficiently
- Documenting VIN numbers, accessories, damage, and other pertinent vehicle features to accompany photos and videos
- Retrieving newly purchased vehicles from auction sites
- Transporting vehicles around lot as well as to auction sites, body shops, dealerships, etc.
- Creating/attaching signage, such as Buyer's Guides, QR codes, & Other Products to vehicles
- Assigning stock control numbers to vehicles, cataloging and storing keys
- Moving, organizing, and aligning vehicles on the Sales Lot to maximize presentation and use of space
- Maintain upkeep of dealer grounds (ex. clearing snow from vehicles and Sales Lot as necessary)
- Driving vehicles from point to point within the dealership in support of Sales and Service departments, as directed
- Ability to prep vehicles for imaging (power washing, exterior cleaning, simple interior cleaning etc.)
