Provide a short description of the Position:
- Senior Web Developer (Drupal) providing Development Support and updates.
- The candidate will ensure that all Drupal websites that are developed and delivered are usable, functionally accessible, responsively designed, and compliant with NYS standards and best practices.
- The candidate will utilize an Enterprise Platform solution (Drupal) to accomplish its mission, leveraging current technologies and industry best practices as applicable to improve its service delivery.
- Senior Web Developer will develop Drupal theming, custom functionality, module development, Frontend, and/or backend development.
- Utilize PHP, Javascript/jQuery, and HTML/CSS/Twig templating.
Drupal Development (Experience with Drupal 8/9/10)
- Theming, module development, and site building
- Knowledge of Drupal APIs, Hooks, and Custom module development
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Twig templating
- Responsive design principles
- PHP development for custom Drupal functionality
- Database management (MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Drupal's Entity API and Form API
- Knowledge of Drupal caching mechanisms
- Understanding of OWASP security best practices for web applications
- Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- CI/CD pipelines for Drupal
- Experience working with Enterprise Drupal Platforms
- Compliance with NYS standards and best practices
- Experience with Acquia or Pantheon hosting platforms
- Familiarity with Headless Drupal (decoupled frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular)
- Experience integrating Drupal with third-party APIs
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with Drupal migrations (upgrading from older versions)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to ensure accessibility and usability compliance
