As a team member of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will help build a positive working environment where employees bring the Center’s mission of serving as a gathering place for all in our community to life.Under the general supervision of the Center’s Senior Manager of Brand Engagement, the Public Relations and Communications Manager strategically manages, develops and implements the Center’s communications and media strategy to increase overall presence, organizational awareness and improves marketing and sales efforts. This position is responsible for generating and editing messaging that is aligned with the Center’s voice and brand that drives meaningful action by connecting and informing audiences with compelling content share through various mediums. You will encourage and engage in inter-departmental collaboration on the Center’s audience-centric approach to communications and represent the Center positively in the community.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the primary/essential functions of the position and are not all-inclusive.Support all Center departments by leading messaging efforts across a wide range of deliverables, from concept to execution with written and verbal communications to achieve objectives including, but not limited to, articles, letters, presentations, emails, reports, press releases, advertising copy, social media messaging, fundraising and executive communications.Develop comprehensive annual communication and public relations plans for the Boldt Arts Alive! Series, Menasha Corporation Spotlight Series, Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America Series Fox Cities, Viewpoint Speaker Series, P.A.C. Presents and Amcor Education Series titles along with Center curated programs and fundraising campaigns.Research and consult with the audience development team to develop creative and compelling copy and campaigns.Provides support for planning and execution of patron events, engagements, and experiences.Uphold and maintain the Center’s Brand Communications Guide and ensure brand consistency and writing standards are integrated through all communication, including proofreading and editing all Center communications.Develop and manage the Center’s content calendar including, but not limited to, writing and editing provided content for all Center eNewsletters, blogs, editorials and social media messaging.Expand and manage public relations efforts to promote arts advocacy and increase awareness for Center’s mission and impact locally and nationally.Maintain and foster close relationships with local media (editors, reporters, news directors, anchors, program directors, on-air hosts), pitch stories and coordinate interview details with press agent.Implement and manage all Center social media initiatives by establishing priorities and making key strategic decisions in planning, executing, and evaluating the effectiveness.Monitor and analyze social media activity tools, benchmarks, trends, and applications and provide regular reports back to the team including insights and feedback to maximize results.Assist in positioning campaign for president and executive team.Manage strong internal communications to staff, develop and implement internal communications strategy and campaign.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
The following are the secondary functions of the position and are not all-inclusive.Serve as the ambassador among the Center staff and volunteers to encourage understanding and appreciation of the various audience development campaigns.Provide staff support for the Center’s Community Impact Committee.Attend various events at the Center and in the community as an advocate for the Center.Work with Senior Manager of Brand Engagement on management of annual budget and forecasts.Represent the Center in the community by building relationships with organizations and businesses.Work occasional nights and weekends.Complete other projects and duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
