Overview
Supportive housing is a combination of affordable housing (that we build) paired with services, like case management. We don't just help people find housing. Our property managers and support coordinators help people stay in their homes. Avalon owns and operates apartments in Washtenaw County, manages rent vouchers with private landlords, and partners with the Ann Arbor Housing Commission to provide housing alternatives for formerly homeless adults and families throughout Washtenaw County.
Avalon offers art programming at the community center in our Hickory Way property, which is located at 1120 South Maple in Ann Arbor.
We are seeking a volunteer to facilitate a weekly one-hour art session for Avalon tenants on Monday - Friday afternoons, sometime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
The volunteer would need to be passionate about serving Avalon's community. They would have specific projects in mind and would help the tenants with their project(s). The volunteer would help set up for the weekly session and clean up afterwards.
