Overview
The Visual Merchandiser’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Visual Merchandising Teammates will contribute to profitability by taking charge of the visual appearance and shopability of the store using visual guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure timely installation and demonstrate the ability to properly install and remove window presentations and store promotion events, including packing, unpacking, and prepping all props while supporting the visual direction of the company standard.
- Partner with store leadership to discuss and plan store layouts and creative design flow, including product rotation and markdown placement.
- Strive to improve business by consistently communicating with leadership.
- Educate leadership on the reasons behind visual strategies.
- Display urgency in getting new product to the floor.
- Assist with Guests and Teammates as needed.
- Understand and assist with Sales Presentation tools like Register and iPad; work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and key holiday days based on business needs.
- Report policy violations and concerns to Store Manager, District Manager, or Human Resources confidentially and promptly.
- Adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Perform job duties with high customer service standards, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Perform any special projects or other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
Requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Occasionally sitting. Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work environment is a retail store with moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
