We are currently seeking qualified candidates for 2-3 openings for the position of Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) for the school year in the Boston, MA area. We are looking for dedicated professionalswho have a passion for working with visually impaired students in a school setting. Job Details: Discipline: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Full -time or Part- time hours Itinerant K-12- Teach disability specific skills like braille and independent living. Create braille and large print materials. Provide specialized instruction Position Requirements: Certification: Massachusetts Teaching for the Visually Impaired Responsibilities: Position Requirements: Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in the school setting Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual needs and develop appropriate educational plans Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of visually impaired students Teach students skills related to visual impairment, including orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and assistive technology use Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success and inclusion in the school munity We are dedicated to providing quality educational services to students with visual impairments.
