Overview
We are seeking a part-time Studio Art Fabricator with 2+ years of experience in sculptural fabrication to support our neon glass and art fabrication studio. The ideal candidate is incredibly funny – just kidding (maybe???)- and has hands-on experience working in professional fabrication studios. The perfect candidate is skilled in materials such as metal, wood, glass, or mixed media, and is proficient in 2 or more of the following trades: NEON OR GLASS EXPERIENCE, WOODWORKING, PLASTIC FABRICATION, WELDING OR SMALL METALS / JEWELRY, CNC MACHINING / DIGITAL TOOLS STONE FABRICATION, TOOL MAINTENANCE, LIGHTING ASSEMBLY / ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE, CASTING / MOLD MAKING, PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY, OR OTHER 3D MEDIUM. While experience in neon is preferred, it’s not required, as long as you are willing to learn. Candidates must demonstrate strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to follow creative and technical direction. Flexible hours available; must be reliable, collaborative, and be able to work independently.
