Minimum Qualifications
- Possesses an earned Bachelor's or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, or
- Possesses an earned Associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
- Has a portfolio that demonstrates significant involvement as a practicing artist, graphic designer, web designer, photographer, videographer, or animator.
- Professional certification in the field, preferred (ex. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, etc.).
- Five years of industry-related work experience, preferred.
- Indiana teaching license - CTE: Business Services & Technology 5-12, CTE: Business & Information Technology 5-12, CTE: Trade & Industrial: 3D Computer Animation & Visualization 5-12, CTE: Trade & Industrial Graphic Arts 5-12, CTE: Trade & Industrial: Graphic Imaging Technology 5-12, Workplace Specialist: Interactive Media 9-12, Business 5-12, Workplace Specialist: Graphic Imaging Technology 9-12, Workplace Specialist: Graphic Design & Layout 9-12, Workplace Specialist: 3D Computer Animation & Visualization 9-12.
General Duties
The Teacher is responsible for teaching groups of students in a classroom/lab setting, based on a curriculum and supported by instructional materials. Responsibilities include:
- Developing daily lesson plans to ensure that the curricular content is covered in a timely manner.
- Using various instructional methods and techniques to meet the unique needs of individual students and to assess their learning.
- Modifying instruction, re-teaching, and remediating to ensure student success.
- Preparing students to successfully complete industry-recognized certification assessments.
- Monitoring, promoting, and supporting Career-Technical Education through marketing and public relations.
- Supporting CTSOs, including student competitions, meetings, fundraising, and general CTSO activities.
- Collaborating with the Advisory Board, Professional Learning Community (PLC), Dual Credit Partner, and Community Partnerships.
- Providing daily hall supervision prior to class start and after class dismissal.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

- Ability to reach in all directions.
- Ability to push/pull up to 15 pounds, 25-30 pounds, and 50 or more.
- Ability to lift 25–30 pounds and 50 or more pounds.
- Climbing and overhead work.
