The Manager of Communications and Outreach will be responsible for internal and external communication strategy and initiatives for building the RLab’s communications, marketing, and outreach programs, with a mandate to build and execute a strategy that delivers on the financial and outcome metrics that are core to the Center’s success. A key goal of the Center is to engage with New Yorkers and New York communities. The Manager will establish the strategy and goals for community and outreach programs at the Center. The Manager will lead program strategy development, short-term and long-term planning, and partnership development to support engagement and community building amongst internal and external stakeholders in the Center’s ecosystem. In addition, the Manager will collaborate with colleagues across the Center and its partners to connect to relevant activities. Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience: 2-5 years experience Demonstrated experience developing and executing high-quality marketing and communications plans, including delivering on financial and other quantitative goals Technical experience with virtual and augmented reality technologies Experience managing teams and evidence of strong coalition building skills Experience translating between the strategic, cultural, and mission goals of a variety of community organizations Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong digital and social media marketing skills, including direct response Evidence of strong written and verbal communications skills An understanding of the dynamics of virtual and augmented reality, technology innovation, industries, and enterprises generally Good judgment in managing communications and relationships Ideator. Contribute to the research and discovery stage of new program and Center ideas Connected leader with a strong history of developing relationships Multilingual Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
