We are seeking a strategic leader for the Director of Publicity position, based in New York. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for music (especially rRap/RnB), film, TV, fashion, and pop culture, with a strong network of media contacts and a proven track record in executing high-profile publicity campaigns.

Position Overview In this senior role, you'll lead publicity campaigns, manage a team of publicists, and develop media strategies that align with company goals. You'll also identify new business opportunities and represent the agency at key industry events.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute impactful publicity strategies across multiple platforms • Expand media relations and secure top-tier placements • Manage multiple high-profile campaigns and deliver results • Lead and mentor a team of publicists • Handle crisis communications and reputation management • Represent the agency at industry events
Requirements
• 5-10 years of experience in PR, focusing on music, film, TV, fashion, or pop culture • Proven leadership in managing teams and high-profile campaigns • Passion for Black culture, particularly hip-hop • Extensive media network with a track record of securing top placements • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills
Bonus Points
• Experience with Latin music or Afrobeats • Fashion-related PR experience • Crisis communications expertise • Experience securing red carpet placements and exclusive event opportunities
