The purpose of the position is to be responsible for the US market in the design, development, and management of Operational Marketing Strategy for the USA bionutrition product portfolio based on value positioning of Valent BioSciences products.Strategic Marketing Management
Create and Execute a Marketing Strategy for a new customer-centric business of specialty nutrition which is innovative and using new alternative tools (i.e., digital and Customer Relationship Management (CRM, such as SalesForce) tools) for resourceful yet impactful Marketing Strategy in support of a smaller sales team working collaboratively with retail channel partners.Optimize the portfolio and manage SKUs to maximize impact for the bionutrition business while effectively stewarding corporate resources.Collaborate on medium and long-term bionutrition brand and portfolio plans for the business in the USA, utilizing the full marketing mix.Collaborate with the Marketing Communications and Global Asset teams to effectively customize local marketing plans based on global strategy for the portfolio.Work in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Portfolio Development to ensure a robust life cycle for the bionutrition portfolio development in the USA.Responsible for working under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Portfolio Management and in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Tech Services for retail Channel Partner Strategy which expands the business for the bionutrition portfolio.Collaborate and manage co-marketing alliances that are specific to the success of the business.Operational Marketing Management
Develop and execute annual and medium marketing plans for the bionutrition brands. Areas of focus include strategic and operational marketing plans, commercial support strategy, and financial budgeting for the product brands.Responsible for the pricing, promotion, placement, and market positioning for Valent BioSciences’ bionutrition brands.Collaborate with other relevant departments (such as Sales, Technology, and Marketing Communication) to ensure customer-focused annual and mid-term business plan execution.Ensure crop/brand strategy knowledge transfer to internal business partners, in order to ensure seamless execution of the brand and business plans.Develop and execute customer-centered marketing programs to drive advancement with Valent BioSciences bionutrition customers.Collaborate on the development and execution of overall Marketing Communications Strategy.Support of bionutrition product promotional efforts.Support the complete customer interaction process (sales transactions, account history, program fulfillment, receiving feedback, and sharing internal opportunities for improvement).Responsible for engaging with customers, centers of influence, and external/internal experts to ensure a relevant understanding of the crop market and Valent BioSciences market position.Work with the Sales Organization on development of an expanding variable sales footprint, including commission agents and/or collaboration with organization(s) to reach retail customers.Experience:
Demonstrated experience between 3-5 (or more) years in the area of commercial advancement of new business segments and brand management/marketing.Knowledge of crop production and the plant and bionutrition segments preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, and SalesForce (a plus).Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Crop Production Science, and/or Business or Marketing.Location:
Libertyville (preferred).Travel:
40% throughout the USA, with possibly some international travel.What We Offer:
