The Sr. SEO Strategist is a critical role at our growing company with the highest standards for professional growth, development, and Client success. This role is essential for continuing to build our Search team at Br8kthru and instrumental as we work to become the best marketing + technology firm in the U.S.
Mission
- Lead client retention + growth through delivery of Michelin-Star Standards (MSS) in all SEO-related Client deliverables.
- Develop and lead junior members of the SEO Team to promote long-term growth, sustainable hiring, and attraction + retention of top analytical talent.
- Implement processes + workflows that enable progress toward Br8kthru’s overall revenue and profitability goals.

Daily Tasks + Responsibilities
Strategy + Thought Leadership
- Lead the creation of SEO strategies + roadmaps for new + existing accounts.
- Assist with comprehensive digital marketing strategies including content, technical SEO, local SEO, website optimization, and other channels.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all SEO activities.
- Continually evolve our SEO approach based on best practices, industry changes, new technology, emerging trends, and algorithm updates.
- Assist in new business pitches related to SEO services.
SEO Management + Execution
- Conduct technical SEO audits and provide clear recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee on-page and off-page SEO tactics, including content optimization, internal linking, and backlink strategy.
- Guide keyword research, competitive analysis, and content strategy to improve organic visibility.
- Work cross-functionally with content creators, developers, and paid media teams to align SEO with broader marketing efforts.
- Optimize website crawlability, indexing, and site structure to improve search engine rankings.
Ongoing Research + Discovery
- Analyze search trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Work with Google, Bing, and other search platforms to stay ahead of algorithm updates and best practices.
- Assess SEO attribution models to demonstrate impact on business goals.
Budget Management
- SEO tool and software budgeting to ensure the team has access to industry-leading technology.
- Assist in forecasting organic search performance based on SEO initiatives.
Client Relationship Management
- Work with Client + internal teams to clearly define SEO objectives, tactics, and KPIs.
- Actively participate in Client communication, including client status calls, working sessions, reporting meetings, and ad hoc questions.
- Help establish trust and credibility, and grow client relationships through education and results-driven SEO strategies.
Reporting + Analysis
- Conduct monthly and quarterly SEO reporting using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Data Studio, and other reporting platforms.
- Analyze organic performance metrics (rankings, traffic, conversions) and make data-driven recommendations.
- Review website analytics, conversion tracking, and technical setups to ensure accurate measurement of SEO efforts.
- Present findings, insights, and next steps to internal teams and Clients.
Leadership + Professional Development
- Lead with cross-channel SEO strategy through the discovery, planning, and execution process.
- Effectively collaborate with other team members and advance our collective SEO knowledge.
- Help attract, train + retain new Br8kthru team members.
- Demonstrate clear communication skills through written reports, documents, meetings, and presentations.
- Foster a culture of open communication and 360-degree feedback.
