Instructional Designer
will be the main point of contact for all training content related to American Equipment University (AEU), and training programs within the company. This role will work with SME across the organization to create new training to improve our employee’s knowledge and skills in their roles. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating new content, centralizing existing content, and updating training that has already been created.Responsibilities:Develops and designs courses and curriculum.Edits and develops online learning materials.Creates learning experiences and environments.Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.Trains instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.Required Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of instructional theory, including assessmentProficiency with learning management systems (LMS)Excellent project management and organizational skillsExperience with design platforms, such as InDesign and IllustratorExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clientsCritical thinking skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlinesEducation and ExperienceBS, MS, or higher degree in instructional design, education, or related fieldTeaching or administrator’s license a plusExperience as a classroom instructorMinimum 5 years of previous experience in instructional designWork EnvironmentProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The role is Hybrid, with 1 day weekly required at the corporate office in Salt Lake City Utah.What we offer:We offer competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Health InsuranceFSA & HSA options for healthcareCritical Illness, Accidental, and Hospital Indemnity PlansDentalVisionSTD & LTDBasic & Voluntary Life AD&D4% Matching 401KPTOCompany provided PPEEmployee Referral Bonus: $2000American Equipment Holdings is an organization of leading overhead crane and hoist, industrial weighing, and below-the-hook service providers in the United States.
