West Chester, OH or New Haven, CT locations preferred, with potential for 2-3 days onsite hybrid work schedule. Would consider candidates in other Schneider Electric HUB locations including Nashville, Dallas, Boston.
Schneider Electric (SE) has a meaningful opportunity for a Principal Solutions Leader in a hybrid and/or remote role supporting the Ecofit business. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical input to large-scale engineering projects, providing strategic technical guidance, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing the overall technology roadmap by making high-level design and architecture decisions, operating as a technical expert for the Ecofit team and supporting product development for the market.

What will you do? Lead design developments in conjunction with project engineering teams and global design teams with respect to SE Power Distribution efforts within the Ecofit business. Support project development in conjuction with sales and offer teams as a technical expert. Drive evolution and standardization of system engineering processes. Lead technical activities according to prioritization from leadership. Verify products through simulations and prototypes. Define and justify product and project design choices. Support customer cases with technical expertise, perform root cause analysis in collaboration with the business. Mentor and development junior engineers in conjunction with training platforms. Present technical concepts to key stakeholders, collaborating with cross functional teams, and communicate project updates to leadership. Drive market and standards alignment leading standards committees for the business (IEEE, ANSI, UL) Required Experience Ability to travel up to 25% to attend project meetings and support plant engineering activities (West Chester, OH and North Haven, CT) as well as to perform testing at laboratories. Bachelor's degree in a technical domain (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.). 10 years of experience in design of low and medium voltage equipment and switchgear. IEEE / ANSI / UL testing requirements Knowledge of standards for Circuit Breaker test duties, Hi Pot, BIL, etc. Experience designing switchgear equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills, which includes ability in writing technical documents. Self-starter, team player, multi-tasking with good time management skills and the ability to function across organizational boundaries.
