About the Position Assistant Library Manager - Rondo Community Library

Assistant Library Manager
to oversee adult reference services, manage library programming, and support daily operations. This position offers a dynamic mix of leadership, customer service, and community outreach.
Here's what you can expect to do: Lead and Support Library Services
- Oversee adult reference services, including book collections, circulation, and assisting patrons in locating materials. Manage a Team and Library Programming
- Supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and develop engaging programs to meet community needs. Provide Direct Patron Support
- Assist with reference and referral services, collection development, and ensuring access to library resources. Ensure Smooth Library Operations
- Oversee service delivery, address immediate facility concerns with maintenance staff, and ensure a welcoming library environment. Engage with the Community

Position Requirements
A bachelor's degree and 24 semester credits in courses leading to an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master's degree in Library Science.
OR
A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience to include at least two of the following: a library setting, project or program implementation, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
OR
An associate degree or two years of relevant college coursework; AND three years of professional experience to include at least three of the following: experience in library setting, project or program, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
