Design Manager Overview Haskell's Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse team serves markets including food and beverage, consumer products, aviation, civil infrastructure, healthcare, and Federal projects. As a team member, you'll work on impactful projects that challenge your creativity and expand your skills. Job Responsibilities: Application of Knowledge: Direct all aspects of the design effort for assigned disciplines, ensuring conformance with project criteria and standards. Client Management: Act as the primary client interface, coordinate criteria acquisition, and maintain positive client relationships. Construction Support: Monitor design responses, assist in prioritizing responses, and supervise installations when assigned. Change Management: Manage scope changes, document all modifications, and assess impacts on schedule and budget. Financial: Develop budgets, monitor project financials, and manage outside consultants. Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate staff, and ensure schedule compliance. Strategy and Leadership: Participate in proposal strategies, marketing, and team leadership, including personnel supervision and project communication. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering. 10+ years in design, with at least 5 years as a lead designer and 3 years in design management. Knowledge of related disciplines (e.g., process & automation, mechanical & electrical). Skills and Certifications: Professional registration preferred. Strong client and change management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software. Knowledge of project management and forecasting tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. PMP certification is a plus.
