Job Title: Civil Designer
Job Description
We are looking for a CAD Designer to support our Pittsburgh, PA office. The CAD Designer will be responsible for using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit to create detailed and precise construction plans. The role includes attending meetings with clients to understand project specifications, assisting lead engineers, and collaborating with the team to create timelines and draft 2D and 3D construction plans.
Responsibilities
Our Client is a small, privately held Civil Design firm located on the North Side of Pittsburgh, along the river between the 9th St & Veterans Bridges. The Pittsburgh office has 12 employees and an open floor plan, fostering a close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere. We celebrate every accomplishment and expect our team to work collaboratively. We are forecasting 20% growth for the Pittsburgh office this year. The company also has a second office located in Cleveland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

- Create detailed and precise construction plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Attend meetings with clients to understand project specifications.
- Assist lead engineers in drafting 2D and 3D construction plans.
- Collaborate with the team to create project timelines.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Experience with civil site design, stormwater management design, and site development.
- Knowledge of grading and Microstation.
- 0-3 years of experience in Civil Site Design.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred but not required (must have High School Diploma or GED).
- A desire to grow and continually improve oneself.
- Experience in overcoming adversity, demonstrating resilience and strong work ethic.
- Excellent personality and initiative, with the ability to market the company and help find new opportunities.
