The Writer receives technical information from the field in the form of technician and customer notes including photographs, may request additional information to expand or verify the operating procedures, and updates to provide a status that is clear and meaningful to the customer and to management. The ARMA Clerk organizes the information and completes work order status notes according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology, maintains records and files of work and revisions, including photographs uploaded by the technician to illustrate the condition upon arrival, materials used, issues with completing the work order, and ultimately document completed work. Once the technicians have completed the work order, the ARMA Clerk ensures proper documentation and sets the work order to resolved at which time the status is relayed to GFEBS. The ARMA Clerk also inputs data into GFEBS which calculates a total cost for the repair, and the work order can be officially marked as complete. $33.62 / hr. plus $4.93 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k! Key Responsibilities
Monitor work orders in the query and update information to concise, user-friendly language to convey progress and expected time to resolution to customers and management Relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments by phone and Smartsheet as needed Update GFEBS to insert administrative data which consists of the DMO (Demand Maintenance Order), day started / day ended, work hours spent, and parts used Close out tickets by putting them in a completed status with detailed notes for documentation Troubleshoot any discrepancies or research complex work orders when necessary Keep an accurate record of service calls and work orders by maintaining proper filing of completed work orders Assist in compiling reports related to the unit's activities to include the contract requirement to have daily notes updated by 9 AM the next day and available for customer review Performs other related duties, as assigned Essential Skills
Operate standard office equipment such as computers, typewriters, and copiers Knowledgeable in standard business computer programs Proficient in ARMA and GFEBS. Training will be provided for the use of DOD facilities software including ARMA, GFEBS, and any other maintenance software required for the position Adaptable and flexible in work situations Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner
