Overview
Duties:
· Work closely with BLH strategists and program personnel to develop concepts for design products (e.g., infographics, social media graphics, flyers, save-the-dates, data visualizations).
· Create products and design elements for print, digital, and social media, including design elements that will live on client websites.
· Recommend and create design elements that, in the case of client deliverables, support client objectives and, in the case of BLH proposals, amplify specific government Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
· Create design elements for client deliverables and for BLH proposals.
· Ensure that all design elements (including fonts, images, colors) and deliverables meet client branding and marketing requirements (e.g., client design/style guides) and, in the case of BLH proposals, meet BLH proposal style guide requirements.
· Develop data visualizations (e.g., graphs and charts, infographics) that present creative and engaging ways to help target audiences grasp key data findings and trends.
· Recommend and select stock photos to support specific projects.
· Manage development schedules for all design elements and products.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a graphic designer, preferably for government contracts and projects.
· Expertise in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Word.
· Proven ability to create design products and elements across all media (print, digital, social).
· Ability to work at a fast pace, under immoveable deadlines, while maintaining fine attention to detail.
· The successful candidate must be able to present a portfolio of work that includes products and design elements similar to the needs of BLH and our government clients (e.g., infographics, social media visuals, flyers, save-the-date, data visualizations).
· An associate or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field. An additional 5 years of experience and a graphics design certificate may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
