Job Description

CoSolutions is currently hiring an AV System CAD Drafter in Omaha, NE at the US Strategic Command Center. The mission of USSTRATCOM is to deter strategic attack through a safe, secure, effective, and credible, global combat capability and, when directed, is ready to prevail in conflict. The command enables Joint Force operations and is responsible for Strategic Deterrence, Nuclear Operations, NC3 Enterprise Operations, Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Global Strike, Analysis and Targeting, and Missile Threat Assessment.

This position supports the computer-aided design documentation of the engineering/design, operations, sustainment, implementation, and installation of AV systems under the guidance of Senior AV Engineers. Documentation includes architecture and design drawings, AS-is drawings, system change descriptions, BOM, hardware and software lists, configuration settings, network infrastructure requirements, room layouts, manuals, and other technical documents.

NOTE: This is a 100% onsite position with no remote work options due to the sensitive nature of the work and team collaboration requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide AV system architectural/engineering drawings for all system changes and new systems.
2. Update existing system architectural/engineering drawings.
3. Maintain all system architecture-related documents.
4. Support documentation needs: BOM, configuration management, hardware/software lists, and other technical documents.
5. Prepare correspondence for clients and contractors.
6. Manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
7. Use feedback to modify designs, develop solutions for engineering issues, and store drafts in a company database.
8. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of AV Systems Engineering, including installation of complex cabling, security, AV, and communications systems.
• Design skills in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Understanding of safety and security policies and procedures.
• Business management knowledge: strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination.
• Customer service principles and practices.
• Mechanical knowledge related to machinery, repair, and maintenance.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Adobe; proficiency with Microsoft Project, CRM, AutoCAD, Visio, and OneNote is a plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in AV CAD Architectural Drawing.
• Experience with IT, Security, and AV drafting is a plus; Revit and AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with complex AV display and distribution systems, high-definition displays, and AV routing.
• Basic IP network knowledge related to VTCs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (not required).

Clearance:

TS/SCI clearance required.

Certifications:

CTS certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate equipment as needed.
