Position Overview
Our company employs a growing team of fitness professionals. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the yoga studio, including sales and membership processes, ensuring sales goals are met and customer service standards are upheld.
The Sales & Service Manager will collaborate with the Brand Director to oversee sales and operations, maintain records, handle grievances, improve efficiency, and increase profits while managing overall studio operations.
The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator with excellent customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, team-oriented attitude, and a passion for sales and service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the studio
- Develop strategic plans to optimize productivity, customer service, and member retention
- Improve organizational effectiveness through process development and motivating staff
- Uphold standards of excellence and quality
- Work with the Brand Director to ensure studio health and profitability
- Oversee daily studio operations
- Partner with the Brand Director to onboard, train, and supervise staff
- Work front desk shifts as needed
- Assist students with class selection based on their goals
- Greet members, guests, and staff with high customer service standards
- Enroll and check-in students using the ClubReady system
- Handle inquiries and billing issues, manage member freezes and cancellations
- Collaborate on member retention tasks
- Manage lead flow and follow-up processes
- Promote memberships and training programs
- Participate in community events to generate leads
- Achieve sales goals
- Build relationships with prospects and conduct studio tours
- Sell retail items and answer product questions
- Maintain studio cleanliness and equipment
- Coordinate class schedules and formats
- Follow health directives and participate in meetings and training
- Maintain accurate data and assist with administrative tasks
- Report studio issues
- Promote a positive attitude and represent company values
- Respond to customer concerns promptly
- Follow safety practices
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- At least 4 years in retail/service sales or fitness sales management
- Experience supervising and coaching staff
- Proven lead generation and follow-up skills
- Ability to generate personal sales and train others in sales techniques
Technical Skills and Abilities
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to identify and implement improvements
- Good writing and grammar skills
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, and able to prioritize
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat
- Self-sufficient with good judgment
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Trustworthy with confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with others and stay calm under pressure
- Proficient with computers and studio management software
Licenses/Certifications
- Current CPR certification
