Exceed revenue targets and expand market share within the Southern California region. Develop and execute strategic sales plans for both on-premise (restaurants, bars, nightclubs) and off-premise (retail stores, liquor stores) accounts. Secure key account placements, negotiate favorable shelf space, and ensure consistent product availability. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at accounts. Cultivate relationships with bartenders and bar managers. Secure cocktail menu placements and drive cocktail program development. Conduct staff trainings and tastings to educate bar personnel on the brand and its unique qualities. Organize and execute in-bar promotions and events, such as brand ambassador appearances and cocktail competitions. Conduct retail demos and tastings to drive consumer awareness and trial. Ensure effective merchandising at retail locations, including shelf talkers, bottle tags, and point-of-sale displays. Build relationships with retail buyers and managers to secure prime shelf space and drive sales. Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Southern California market. Actively seek out and participate in local events and festivals. Build and maintain strong relationships with local influencers and media. Operational Excellence: Accurately track sales performance and key metrics using a CRM system. Prepare weekly sales reports and communicate market updates to the sales and marketing teams. Manage sales expenses within budget. Work closely with the distribution partner and their sales team to achieve shared goals. Collaborate with the marketing team on the development and execution of local marketing campaigns. Requirements:
Proven Sales Experience: 2+ years of successful sales experience within the alcoholic beverage industry (spirits preferred). Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Southern California market, including key accounts, competitive landscape, and consumer trends. Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Passion for Tequila: Enthusiasm for and in-depth knowledge of tequila, including production methods, tasting notes, and cocktail applications. Results-Oriented: Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations. Organization & Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Bilingual Skills: Conversational Spanish fluency highly preferred. (Not required) Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and travel within the Southern California region as needed.
