Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create detailed 3D models for custom silver coins, including reliefs, textures, and engravings.
- Develop .stl files for 3D printing and CNC machining, ensuring high precision and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (or clients) to understand design requirements and translate them into 3D models.
- Ensure final designs meet industry standards for production, including considerations for metal casting and minting.
- Revise designs based on feedback and iterate to achieve optimal final results.
- Manage multiple design projects, delivering within deadlines and budget.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling Software:
- Expertise with at least one of the following: Blender, Rhino, ZBrush, Autodesk Fusion 360, or similar software.
- Knowledge of TinkerCAD or FreeCAD is a plus.
- Experience with .stl file creation for 3D printing, CNC machining, or metal casting applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in coin design, jewelry, or similar fields (preferably with examples of relief designs or intricate engravings).
- Understanding of materials (particularly silver or other precious metals) and manufacturing constraints.
- Attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics and design accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills for technical design challenges related to the minting or casting process.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, artisans, and production teams.
- Education: Degree in Industrial Design, 3D Design, or related field preferred (but not required based on portfolio and experience).
- Experience with silver or precious metal design for coins, medals, or jewelry.
- Knowledge of engraving, relief modeling, and minting processes.
- Familiarity with ArtCAM or similar tools for artistic relief work (even if discontinued).
- Basic understanding of CAD for mechanical design (especially for more complex coin projects).
- Flexible working hours (for freelance/remote).
