Full Job Description

Do you feel passionate about working with community leaders, local businesses, and event organizers? Do you have a knack for storytelling? LocalRoofs is looking for a Community Manager & Content Creator to help build our brand presence through active community involvement and compelling social media content. You'll be our eyes and ears on the ground. Think of yourself as part publicist, part creative director, and part storyteller.

What You’ll Work On:

Community Engagement:

1. Research and participate in local events, sponsorship opportunities, and community activities that align with our brand values and business goals.
2. Collaborate with our sister company, Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical.
3. Coordinate participation in local events or at local businesses with company mascots.
4. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, event organizers, and local businesses to foster brand partnerships and collaborations.
5. Represent the company at various events, ensuring a positive and impactful presence.

Social Media Content Creation & Management:

1. Develop a content calendar to produce and share regular updates on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), highlighting community involvement, CEO and employee stories, tips and insights, and company achievements.
2. Work side-by-side with our CEO to capture insights and experiences and weave them into captivating stories that bring awareness to the brand.
3. Take high-quality photos and videos at community activities, company events, and job sites, showcasing our work, team, and involvement.
4. Create and publish engaging, informative, and visually appealing social media content that promotes our community involvement, educates our audience, and builds overall awareness of our brand.

Monitoring & Reporting:

1. Track social media engagement, growth metrics, and community feedback to refine strategies and improve performance.
2. Provide regular reports on community involvement initiatives, content reach, and social media engagement.

Qualifications:

1. Passion for working with our local communities.
2. Ability to turn even the most mundane Monday into a content goldmine.
3. Knack for striking up a conversation with anyone, from a roofer to the local barista to the mayor.
4. A keen eye for aesthetics that can make even a pile of shingles look Instagram-worthy.
5. Creative and strategic mindset with excellent storytelling skills.
6. Experience in community management, content creation, and social media management.
7. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Knowledge of the roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction industries is a plus.
10. Solid photography and video editing skills.
11. Driver’s license with an excellent record.
