What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, the Sr. Consultant, Communications and Events will manage and support corporate-level communications and high-profile events, ensuring alignment with business strategies. This role involves the creation, coordination, and execution of communication strategies and event planning, including town halls and other significant gatherings. Additionally, the Senior Consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations and effectiveness of the Innovation team.

How you'll succeed
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create effective communication strategies that resonate with internal stakeholders and support business objectives.
- Event Planning and Execution: Oversee the execution of high-profile events and town halls, managing all related content and communication deliverables. Serve as the central point of contact throughout the event planning process.
- Operational Support: Enable effective day-to-day operations of the Innovation team (e.g. team meetings, assist with financials, ad-hoc requests)
- Task Organization: Break down complex engagements into actionable tasks, organizing them in a manner that ensures timely completion and accountability.
- Create Impactful Presentations: Develop meaningful presentations and communication materials for key business partners and senior leaders.
- Project Management: Monitor project milestones, assess resource requirements, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Stay Current on Communication Trends: Remain informed about emerging communication methods and integrate them into daily operations.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to CIBC policies, standards, and guidelines in all communication and event-related activities.
