FamilySearch is expanding messaging to diverse audiences and needs a strong communicator to help shape the new strategy. You will have the opportunity to work with various teams across the organization to help understand user experiences, identify patron benefits, and develop messaging tactics to meet patron needs. You will help create positive experiences for patrons worldwide as they come to discover, gather, connect, and unite their families. Other short-term projects focusing on user-journey marketing and content development may be included in work responsibilities. The length of the contract will be one year. This position will report to Sarah Hammon, Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Help gather research and develop "go to market" strategies, product marketing briefs, and customer journeys
Research and share supportive tactics on patron motivations and behaviors
Develop a solid understanding of FamilySearch experiences to engage patrons in new ways
Maintain a big-picture understanding of FamilySearch updates and the most effective communication strategies and channels, for both external and internal audiences
Work closely with various teams, especially engineering, to design, build, and implement new products, features, and updates
Coordinate and support department initiatives and area requests for localized content, aligning with overall strategy and brand
Assist in FamilySearch events and trainings, as needed
Qualifications
Pursuing/received a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in product marketing and market research
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and divisions
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Extremely organized, detail oriented, capable of prioritizing projects
Self-motivated and strong work ethic
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
