Job Description
David Carroll Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a trustworthy, motivated individual to join our growing business as an Installation Site Supervisor. The successful candidate effectively manages broad responsibilities, including staff management, overseeing projects, maintaining safety protocols, and implementing site procedures. The ideal candidate is professional, experienced, responsible, and team-focused. This position requires a proven track record of overseeing projects to completion. The Site Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager from pre-construction walk-through to client hand-off. The role demands taking ownership of daily job site responsibilities, exhibiting leadership skills, and assisting in driving projects to successful completion within budget.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of commercial Audio-Visual/Broadcast system designs
- Minimum of 2 years as a Site Supervisor in commercial AV installations and 5 years of audiovisual experience overall
- Experience installing audio-visual, teleconferencing, corporate video, control systems, and related systems
- Proficiency with hand tools and construction equipment relevant to AV and electronic trades
- Understanding of the entire construction process and building trades
- Strong project management and supervisory skills
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems and software
- Ability to read technical documents and CAD drawings
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Leadership skills with a diverse workforce
- Ability to build professional relationships with staff, clients, and other trades
- Professional demeanor and confidence under pressure
Physical Demands
- Ability to move and handle up to 50 lbs safely and independently
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in high or confined spaces
- Some travel required
- Commitment to safety practices
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Manager and support staff
- Schedule and track assignments, serve as backup Project Manager when needed
- Use approved installation methods, update project management software daily
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and safety regulations
- Oversee installation of AV equipment, test systems, and verify completion according to drawings
- Manage technician schedules, mentor staff, and maintain equipment inventory
- Handle safety meetings and ensure safety practices on site
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BA or BS preferred; technical school training advantageous
Certifications and Licenses
- CAD training preferred
- CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D certifications preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean record required
