Position Summary: The role requires a mature Christian committed to serving God and being a role model of faith and service.
Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills required to organize and lead worship alongside ministers and members.
- Develop and lead an exemplary music program to enhance the music ministry of the church.
- Select all music (praise and worship, hymns, and specials) blended to include traditional and contemporary styles, leading in a worshipful manner for Sunday services.
- Plan and lead all practices for choir and praise and worship teams.
- Plan and lead special music events such as Easter, Christmas, Homecoming, and VBS.
- Encourage and nurture the skills of choir members by seeking opportunities for choirs to participate in music festivals, workshops, community events, and other suitable church-related activities.
- Collaborate with the Baptist Men and Women on Mission for local mission opportunities and projects.
- Work with the Missions Committee on state, national, and international mission opportunities and projects.
- Follow up with first-time guests and issue invitations to participate in EBC programs and activities.
- Assist the Young at Heart Director in planning and conducting activities that target seniors.
