Role Overview
The Community Manager oversees the operations of a housing community, reporting to the Regional Manager. Responsibilities include personnel management, leasing, maintenance, financial oversight, administration, and risk management. As an on-site leader, you will supervise staff and property operations to ensure compliance with policies, safety, fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.
Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: Manage staffing, training, coaching, and development; ensure staff effectiveness and compliance with policies.
- Financial Management: Maximize net operating income, develop budgets, monitor deposits, rent collections, and vendor invoices, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Strategic Leasing Management: Develop marketing plans, ensure effective leasing procedures, handle resident relations, and implement retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: Ensure timely reporting, manage emergency responses, maintain property appearance, and oversee maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- CAM or ARM certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, work overtime, weekends, and nights, and perform physical tasks including inspections and operating equipment.
License/Equipment
- Reliable transportation required for emergency on-call duties.
Asset Living offers a comprehensive rewards package, including benefits, 401K, bonuses, and paid time off. Salary range: $60,000 - $68,000 annually.
