Job Title Marketing Intern/Associate Department Philanthropy / Communications Reports To Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications (Reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy & Communications in the absence of the Senior Manager, Marketing / Communications) Direct Reports None Job Summary The Marketing Intern/Associate will collaborate with the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications to develop, implement, and execute marketing strategies aimed at enhancing the organization's brand awareness and increasing engagement. As a vital member of the Philanthropy & Communications team, the Marketing Intern/Associate will primarily focus on managing digital media channels, creating engaging content, conducting research, and supporting efforts to further New Hope Housing's mission. Duties / Responsibilities: Digital Marketing: Develop engaging content for social media platforms aligned with the organization's brand and objectives. Conduct research on prevailing social media trends and best practices to inform content strategy. Assist Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications in scheduling and monitoring social media posts to optimize engagement and reach. Update the corporate website as directed by the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications Graphic Design: Utilize entry-level design software to create flyers, brochures, handouts, and other collateral in adherence to brand guidelines and messaging. Assist with various internal needs such as business cards, employee newsletters, etc. Copywriting + Research: Draft compelling copy for corporate communications, social media content, and other marketing materials while maintaining brand voice and consistency. Conduct research on the state of housing and current events to ensure accuracy in future campaigns and materials Email Marketing: Assist the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications in developing email content to increase awareness and support New Hope Housing’s online fundraising initiatives, including visual storytelling, branded email solicitations, general messaging, etc. Contribute to email strategy by providing support in planning, execution, and monitoring of online campaigns. Events: · Assist the Philanthropy & Communications team with event needs such as set-up, take-down, photography/videography, and other tasks as needed. Qualifications: Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with technologies and best practices across multiple platforms (e.g. MailChimp, Constant Contact, HTML, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva) and working knowledge of social media platforms. Working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or related field. Ability to work independently with little supervision. • Creative thinking and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Equipment Duties will require the regular use of telephones, computers, fax machines and calculators. Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 10lbs. and perform duties requiring extensive maneuverability and normal strength.
